a variety of lips study

so in designing characters for a comic, i've discovered i'm still partly in that 'same face' syndrome boat, and though I always see tutorials on how to make your characters different by playing with eye and nose shape, I rarely come across ones for the lips.

so here's a quick thing, just to make it a bit less rare.

i spent like ten minutes on this im laughing.

also!!! the wideness of the mouth varies too- they can be smaller, or wider (though wide mouths tend to be creepier- the corners of the mouth usually arent wider than the distance between the pupils)
